Conspiracy theorists are blaming a forthcoming cold snap in the UK on a planet they believe is careering towards earth. However, if they are right a cold snap will be the least of our worries because they are predicting civil wars, pestilence and starvation.
The planet they believe is on a collision course with earth is Nibiru, or Planet X, which they think orbits our sun every 3,600 years. The conspiracy theory is outlined in YogaEsoteric.com, which cites an American Government report.
It states: ‘Great Britain will become like ‘Siberia’ encased in snow when ‘whole nations walking by foot’ seeking to find new homelands would not be unrealistic in such a catastrophic environment.
‘This Pentagon Report predicts that abrupt climate change could bring the planet to the edge of anarchy as countries develop a nuclear threat to defend and secure dwindling food, water and energy supplies
The threat to global stability vastly eclipses that of terrorism, say the few experts privy to its contents.’ The ‘truthers’ believe the cataclysm will be between November 20 and December 20 which is when winter weather is predicted for Britain.
However, the date when the nefarious planet is supposed to crash into earth has been postponed three times. Nasa astronomer Dr David Morrison poured scorn on the conspiracy theorists.
He told the Express: ‘You’re asking me for a logical explanation of a totally illogical idea. There is no such planet, there never has been, and presumably there never will be.’
This year alone, the Nibiru doomsday date has been updated twice: the apocalypse was originally scheduled for September 23, moved to October 21, and now, the powers that be have settled on November 19.’
He added: ‘Honestly, if Nibiru is real — which it definitely isn’t — it sounds like a massive flake.’Nibiru or no Nibiru, Britain is heading towards the coldest winter since 2012. Pacific weather front known La Nina could lead to a colder winter in Europe as temperatures drop over the Atlantic.
